Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 7, 2026
LiveCue ("LiveCue," "we," "us") is operated by LiveCue AI Inc., a company registered in Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what data LiveCue handles and how. We aim to collect as little as possible and to never store your meeting content on our servers.
1. How LiveCue works
LiveCue runs as an app on your Mac. It captures your microphone and the call's audio on your device, streams that audio to a speech-to-text provider for live transcription, and sends short snippets of the resulting transcript to an AI provider to generate the suggestions ("nudges") and recaps you see. On paid plans, when you press the screen-analysis shortcut, the current screen image is sent to an AI provider for analysis.
2. Information we process
- Account data: your email address, used for sign-in (passwordless magic link) and account management.
- Device & usage data: a device identifier and the amount of session time you use, to enforce your plan's quota and for billing.
- Audio: streamed from your device to our speech-to-text provider for live transcription. We do not store your audio on our servers.
- Transcript snippets & recaps: short rolling segments of transcript are sent to our AI provider to generate nudges; a session transcript is used to generate your recap. We do not store these on our servers.
- Screen captures (paid plans, on your command): the screen image you choose to analyze is sent to our AI provider and is not stored by us.
- Diagnostics: crash and error reports (no meeting content) to keep the app reliable.
3. Service providers (sub-processors)
We use the following providers to deliver LiveCue. Your data is processed by them only to provide the service:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Deepgram | Speech-to-text transcription | United States |
| DeepSeek | AI text (nudges, recaps) | China |
| Google (Gemini) | Screen analysis (paid plans) | Google Cloud |
| Polar | Payments & tax (merchant of record) | United States / EU |
| Google Cloud / Firebase | Backend & website hosting | United States |
4. International transfers — please read
LiveCue processes data outside of Canada. In particular, transcript snippets are sent to DeepSeek, whose servers are located in China, and audio is processed in the United States. By using LiveCue you acknowledge that your transcript and related content are processed in these countries, which may have different data-protection laws than your own. If you do not want your content processed in China, do not use LiveCue.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not store your meeting audio or transcripts on our servers — they are processed transiently to produce live results.
- Where a provider offers a setting to exclude your data from model training, we enable it. Some providers' terms may still permit use of submitted data; please avoid sharing highly sensitive information in sessions.
6. Availability
LiveCue is currently offered to users in Canada and the United States. It is not currently offered to users in the European Union / EEA.
7. Your responsibilities
Recording and transcription laws vary by location, and some require the consent of everyone in the conversation. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that apply to you and for obtaining any consent required before using LiveCue in a meeting.
8. Data retention & your rights
We keep your account and usage data while your account is active. You may request access to or deletion of your account data by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Security
API keys are held only on our servers, never in the app. Connections use TLS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
10. Children
LiveCue is not intended for anyone under 18.
11. Changes & contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here. Questions? Email support@livecueapp.com.
